Role:CheckPoint FireWall Enginner

JOB DESCRIPTION

 

• To work daily operational Firewall Service requests that come in from the customer base that pertain to getting their systems and applications to work through the internal and internet firewall appliances in a given location throughout the FPL Utility and Nextera Plants.

• They will need to be able come in and quickly have the skills to create, modify or remove rules or policies and maybe objects within Checkpoint R65 P1 CMA environments.
  
• The Engineer must had the skills to understand how to use the Checkpoint P1 / Smart Dashboard / Voyager tools to work with Nokia and Checkpoint Firewalls and understand Natting and networking.

• Have general understanding and good working knowledge of the Nokia IPSO operating system for IP series appliances, Check Point UTM Edge gateway appliances, Check Point SSL Extender VPN solutions, IPSEC VPN Tunnels and can build/deploy security appliances with IPSO/Check Point R65/R70 architecture.
• General understanding of routing/switching preferably with Cisco based hardware.
  
• They will work in a team environment and own their requests and use the FPL Change Process while working closely with the customer and Information Security to complete the requests within the Service Level Agreements we have with our customers.
  
• Must be very customer-focused and driven.
