Description:		Our direct client is currently looking for a Senior Linux Systems Engineer consultant to join them for a 3 month assignment. The ideal candidate must be strong in Puppet, Github and Jenkins. Should have extensive experience in an Enterprise enviroment and expertise in Linux OS. He/She also must have experience with RHCT and RHCE along with writing scripts, Python, Perl, and VB, alsoexperience with ITIL.   Any candidates that have been submitted the last 12-18 months will not be considered.   Responsibilities to include:   Strong knowledge using Puppet, Github and Jenkins Works closely with teams of developers, Engineers and Operations to make appropriate infrastructure recommendations based on applications needs. Develops and maintains documentation related to the design, installation, administration, and maintenance of multiple Linux systems in a distributed computing environment. Manages system performance, makes recommendations to improve and implement system wide changes to enhance overall system proficiency. Responsible for designing and maintaining a reliable, scalable, secure and high availability Linux systems environment. Perform root cause analysis for service interruption recovery; create preventative measures and present to management. Ensure stability, viability and maintenance of the 24/7 mission-critical production environment. Ensure systems adhere to IT security policies Work with project managers and technical staff in defining and documenting technical project requirements Creates and modifies Shell and Python scripts for task automation, resource monitoring and performance monitoring. Interface with hardware and software support vendors. Ability to mentor and supervise junior resources in the absence of an immediate manager. Drive the implementation of Linux administration best practices. Function as part of a multi disciplined team responsible for optimizing the systems environment.  Work collaboratively with other department members to provide ongoing support assistance and optimizations Required Experience Experience Required/Results Expected: 7-10 years' experience in an Enterprise environment Experience with Puppet and GITHUB Expertise in Linux Operating System BA/BS or ten plus years of experience.
