Position: VMWare Consultant

Location: Norfolk, VA

Duration: 12+ months

 

Skills:

v  OS Patch automation/deployment and testing

v  Installing the required hardware in rack.

v  Tracking hardware/software inventory

v  Setting up and maintaining the VMware vSphere environment

v  Setup, maintain, configure network gear and cabling

v  Minor Oracle/MSSQL install, configure, maintenance

v  NetApp support maintenance and configuration

v  Lab and test equipment support (Primarily Windows Server with some Solaris.  Also some NPI workstations using XP and Win7) 

v  Imaging/backup of machines

v  Vendor support coordination

v  Monitoring the environment setup using appropriate monitoring tools

v  User support of lab operations (reboots, network connectivity, access control, etc.)

v  HP ILO Management and Sophos Antivirus support.

v  HP Proaliant DL Series Server support.

v  Cisco Routers and Switches support.

v  Solaris Sparc support

v  Network & Hardware Support.

v Interaction with IM/IT (firewall port requests, network outages, IP NAT'ing, etc.)

v  Sharepoint Administration

v  Managing Windows Update Server, DNS, Active Directory, Symantec Ghost, Bartpe.
