BSA/QA—1 year contract-Minneapolis, MN— Financial—face to face interview will be required
UAT testing is the FIRST MOST IMPORTANT skill, but will need end to end analysis experience as well.
This resource will be mainly involved in UAT, but will eventually move more into a full-on tech. BA role.
SUMMARY: The Business Analyst for this role will be preparing and testing a user interface designed to allow retail clients to trade multi leg options.
The new functionality is an addition to an existing interface designed and maintained by a third party vendor where clients will be able to input two leg option trades (four leg trades such as butterflies and iron condors are NOT in scope).
The central focus of this effort is to mitigate potential financial risk driven by multi leg trades while meeting reasonable client expectations for a flexible trading platform. You will be entering trades on the user interface, and manually calculating the potential margin risk of each trade, then validating against existing funds within a brokerage account to ensure proper functionality of the UI, business rules and messaging.
You may also be required to move money and move stocks or options in and out of brokerage accounts via BETA Host.
You will also be required to host daily trade and defect calls, communicate daily testing updates and escalate any environment outages as needed.
MANDITORY SKILLS: UAT Test experience, including test planning, test script writing, test execution, defect management/resolution Experience with eliciting requirements, creating test cases, executing test cases, implementation planning, and implementation execution Experience entering test details in Quality Center Experience working and communicating with multiple cross-commits and vendors to drive testing to completion Strong analytical, quantitative & problem solving skills In depth knowledge of business operations and processes with the ability to articulate these processes to others Experience with project methodology and project life cycles.
Understand and apply technology as it relates to the business Effective written communication skills to deliver articulate and concisely summarize information. Ability to work in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision.
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS: Experience placing and filling orders on Thompson Reuters Brokerage platform Experience moving money on Thompson Reuters Brokerage platform Experience moving securities in and out of accounts on Thompson Reuters Brokerage platform Knowledge of Multi Leg options orders (Buy/Writes, Married Puts, Straddles, Spreads, Strangles and Collars) Experience working with detailed Visio flows Experience leading a test effort including daily reporting to stakeholders and daily defect review/resolution Basic understanding of rule engine functionality Understanding of options chains used for trading options Understanding of general trading principals (Order types, settlement time frames, security types, derivatives etc.)
Experience with Thomson One/BETA Link Series 7, 9 and 10 Experience with margin requirements driven by options trading Experience entering trades through MyFA (Similar to other retail client facing order entry user interfaces)
