Job Title : Oracle Apps DBA – Production Support
Location : Downtown NYC
Term : 12-18 months
Job Description:
ü The ideal candidate would have over 7 + years of experience in an Oracle Applications DBA role (including 11i & R12) and over 5 years' experience with Oracle RDBMS (Including 9i, 10g, 11g, and 12c).
ü Experience with Oracle Application Server 10g/Weblogic 11g required.
ü Experience with patching, cloning, troubleshooting issues in Oracle Applications 11i to R12.1
ü Experience with performance tuning in Oracle Applications 11i to R12.1
ü Experience upgrading Oracle Applications 11i to R12.1
ü Experience with RMAN and various backup techniques.
ü Experience with RAC and DataGuard with Applications 11i/R12.
ü Current Oracle Applications 11i/R12 DBA skills for complex 24×7 environments.
ü Hands-on architecture, installation, upgrade, production support, cloning, and advanced configuration skills.
ü Adherence to processes, change control, and understanding the importance of documentation is required.
ü The candidate must be able to take scheduled 24 hour on-call shifts, be team and process oriented, and able to work multiple high priority assignments at one time.
ü The candidate must also have great oral and written communication skills due to a high level of interaction with customers.
ü The candidate must also be able to work effectively with internal sales, management, and delivery organizations.
ü Customer service, time management, self-motivation, and the discipline to work from home is required.
Preferred Qualifications (Good to have but not mandatory):
ü Install, configure, monitor and troubleshoot Oracle Fusion Middleware systems in non-clustered and clustered configurations
ü SOA Suite installation, configuration, and maintenance.
