Position: .Net Developer
Location: Tallahassee, FL
Duration: 8 months; possible renewal pending performance/funding

Description
The department has the need for application development services for the development, maintenance, and support of .Net and ASP systems necessary to support the Department’s public facing internet web site
The developers will be responsible for systems analysis and development work involving Classic ASP, ASP.Net, VB.Net, C#.Net, and Microsoft SQL Server.
Required
· 4 or more years of experience with database navigational and analysis tools.
· 6 or more years of documented object-oriented design and development, and relational database experience. This includes web design and development, classic ASP and .Net (vb.net and C#.net), JavaScript, XML, XSLT, HTML, MS SQL Server, and MS Visual Studio.
· 6 or more years of experience with modifying, developing, designing, and maintaining .NET applications to meet design and change specifications.
· 6 or more years of experience with creating system documentation.
Preferred
· Experience with modifying, developing, designing, and maintaining PL/SQL procedural code a plus.
· Experience working and integrating with Cascade Server, or similar structured XML based, “Push” type web content management systems, a plus.
Tasks
The following tasks are for applications based on Microsoft’s Classic ASP, ASP.Net, VB.Net, and SQL Server.
· Create system designs, applying good system analysis and design practices, daily in the time indicated on the work packages, for new systems, as well as feature enhancements/additions and bug fixes for existing systems, to then be applied as application code.
· Modify and create application code and database code, applying good system development practices, daily as work packages are assigned by the Department.
· Troubleshoot and determine resolutions to system issues and bugs identified by the Web Administration team section leader, daily as work tickets are assigned by the Department.
· Document application modifications and additions daily as coding tasks are assigned by the Department, and store in a documentation repository.
