POSITION

Senior Business Systems Analyst

Southborough, MA

12 month contract

52$/hour

 

GENERAL SUMMARY

The Senior Business Systems Analyst (S-BSA) ) is the key liaison between internal service owners and the IT Technology Teams. Elicits and drives requirements at multiple levels of detail. The S-BSA should have a strong attention to detail and is entrusted with accurately documenting requirements and acceptance criteria for a project. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Leveraging thorough understanding of business/infrastructure processes and service owner user needs to formulate and define system scope, objectives and functional specifications.

Assist in launch processes for new services and existing services enhancements

Assist in project planning to ensure that projects are tracking properly and that the organization is synchronized and synergized on launches and events

Assist with management of timelines and properly communicate progress and deadlines

Assist with gathering and documenting requirements cross-functionally

Assist with validation of requirements throughout the launch and post-launch

Assist with product documentation to communicate and get sign-off from all stakeholders

Evaluate competitive products and make logical recommendations on service detail

Accurately translates business requirements into service requirements

If needed, assesses and influences prototypes and models using understanding of customer needs

Works comfortably in both iterative and waterfall systems development processes

 

SKILLS /CHARACTERISTICS

Must have worked as an infrastructure engineer and or as a software engineer in early career

Exclusive experience in business analysis of Projects involving complex infrastructure, Middleware and external facing web technology Projects

Highly Experienced with Cloud Computing and leading edge Infrastructure technologies

Examples include: Virtualization, Automation, Storage, Networking, Compute

Ability to work with ambiguity and minimal direction

Understands data center architectures commensurate with 7 years of experience

Analysis and problem solving skills

Communication

Accurate and detail oriented

Persistent, creative and resourceful

Organized

Business/Technical Writing

 

Education: Bachelors Degree in a Business or Technical area with a MIS concentration preferred. Lean Six Sigma, CBAP/CCBA, plus other industry certifications desirable based on functional expertise.

 

Experience Required: At least 7 years of experience in supporting the deployment and support of Business Applications.
