Role: Java Developer with VMS

Location: New Albany, OH

Duration: Long Term

 

Responsibilities

 

•          Responsible for application design/analysis, developing project plans, coding, testing, documenting all code, and maintaining, as well as upgrading, existing applications

•          The candidate must be adaptive to the use of new software aids and programming techniques as they are required or adapted in IT

•          Must be able to code, debug and test application programs utilizing JAVA and web based programming tools

•          Interact with multi-tiered databases including Oracle and SQL

•          Responsible for working with all levels of the business and the development team to establish, promote, and enforce architectural guidelines as well as assist in the implementation and problem resolution of existing applications and requests

•          Ensure work meets functionality and quality expectations within given timelines

 

Qualifications

 

•          Minimum 5 years experience in application development utilizing JAVA, Spring, SQL, Web Services, Tomcat web servers

•          Minimum 4 years of progressive experience in utilizing Java, J2EE, JSP, HTML, SQL, AJAX, JavaScript, ANT and WebLogic Application Server

•          Must have a track record of successful system and project implementations, and experience in the following:  integrating with Oracle applications, leveraging new technologies in a dynamic team environment

•          Experience in retail environment

•          Ability to adapt to a fast paced international project

•          Must be able to command the attention and respect of highly technical associates

•          Ability to navigate technical issues and evaluate risk

•          Demonstrated track record of successful system and project implementations

•          Excellent organization skills and attention to detail, including the ability to prioritize and manage a variety of complex projects and activities

•          Strong problem solving, analysis, design and testing skills
