UX Designer

Location: Berkeley Heights, NJ (OR) Jersey City, NJ

Details:

Lead and take ownership all facets of user experience to develop the ideal solution for workflow applications and reports/dashboards catering to global audience

 Experience in designing user experience for web applications which leverage emerging tools, consumer electronics and/or mobile devices

 Have capability to understand business drivers and objectives, user insights and user needs (document as personas, scenarios if needed)

 Develop workflows, information architecture, interface deliverables including sketches that are intuitive, fit for purpose and based on customer's brand guidelines

 

 Collaborate with team members, and business stakeholders through the entire design and development process

 Be an active member of the software development team, working with business, product, development, and QA teams across multiple office locations.

 Define standards for developers' reference (UX guidelines, pattern libraries)

 Advise on industry best practices around analysis and design and grow user experience standards.

 

Key skills/traits

 Experience designing rich internet, data-intensive financial applications and reporting suites for a global user base across multiple points including mobile/tablets.

 Ability to think analytically and conceptually, perform user research and task analysis, in line with design principles.

 Expert in at appropriate interactive wireframe/prototyping tools (Photoshop, InDesign etc.)

 Advocate for user-centered design, out of the box thinking and attention to detail

 Understanding of common software project development and management practices

 Experience in working with globally dispersed team and knowledge of insurance industry
