POSITION: Java Developer (Hadoop or Angular JS)
LOCATION: San Jose, CA
DURATION: 6+ Months

JOB DESCRIPTION

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Takes ownership of technical stories and delivering them through the full SDLC
  
• Participate in the Agile/SCRUM process and collaborate with development and production team throughout all stages of the SDLC 
  
• Works across functional teams to develop system/unit functional specifications
  
• Develops tools or processes as appropriate  to improve productivity
  

Minimum Qualifications

• MS in computer science or BS plus 5 years related experience
  
• Self motivated and highly ambitious
  
• Creative problem solving skills and excellent troubleshooting/debugging skills
  
• Strong analytical and quantitative problem solving skills
  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  
• Understanding of software engineering skills and QA/Test and automation methodologies
  
• Ability and willingness to learn new technologies
  
• Excellent team player
  

Desired Skills

• Expertise in building large-scale distributed systems using technologies such as Java/JEE, Spring Framework, REST, Hibernate
  
• Strong DB/SQL skills
  
• Excellent database development skills including a solid understanding of database technologies, and logical and physical data modeling
  
• Good understanding of Web technologies like (BootStrap, AngularJS, NodeJS, etc)
  
• Understanding of Big Data Technologies (Hadoop, Hbase, Spark, NoSQL) is a big plus
  
• Experience using technical documents such as business requirements, functional requirements, database design representations, data and systems flow diagrams.
