Job Title: Hadoop Developer     

Location: New York, NY

Position type: Long term Contract

Rate: DOE   

   

Note: Hybrid Model (Should be in office onsite 3 days a week)

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:   

Looking for a candidate with strong experiece in Hadoop and Reporting.

Candidate is required to perform daily project functions with a focus on meeting the business objectives on time in rapidly changing work environment and should be able to lead and drive globally located team to achieve business objectives.

 

Required Skills:

5+ years of hands-on experience working with Hadoop ecosystem.

3+ years of hands-on experience working with any Reporting/ Visualization tools like Tableaue, Business Objects, Qlikview etc.

Candidates with Contact Center reporting experience will be preferred.

Knowledge of various components of Hadoop ecosystem and experience in applying them to practical problems

Hive/Impala/Spark.

Strong knowledge of working with relational databases like Teradata, DB2, Oracle, Sql server

 

Understanding of Data Models:

Conceptual, Logical, and Physical & Dimensional/Relational Data Model Design.

Good knowledge in writing complex queries in Teradata/DB2/Oracle PL/SQL

Strong experience with Data Analysis, Data Profiling, Root Cause Analysis

Should able to understand Banking system/processes and data flow

Should be able to work independently, lead and mentor the team.

 

Responsibilities:

Provide strategic guidance and reporting expertise for future state reporting dashboard using best in class solutions

Evaluate tools that will provide easy drill down, self-serve reporting to all lines of business within Wealth Management

Analyze reporting current state on prem reporting fields and map to cloud future state reporting fields for interim dashboard development and long-term future state dashboard development

Evaluate key value pairs in current state and communicate downstream and cross stream to ensure data elements required for future state are incorporated into future state reporting design

Reporting variables and design include all omni channel platform interactions, salesforce.com dashboarding elements, and authentication parameters and metrics

Ensure that reporting elements are defined to include formula with numerator and denominator with ability to publish by line of business

Create objects inventory and mapping between current and future state reporting database

Evaluate all reporting tools available within the firm approved infrastructure

Develop overall future state tool map that will provide business with business unit reporting dashboard

Perform reporting database volumetric assessment and results

Create metadata and data dictionary of existing objects

Coordinate with program manager to build a pipeline for on-prem and for cloud reporting data to be feed into future state reporting database

Recommend future state visualization application that can leverage the uninterrupted aggregate reporting capability

Gain agreement on future state architectural design to support future state vision

Gain agreement on MVP reporting aligned with Genesys Cloud MVP and produce how to for access, reporting hierarchy, operational run book and dashboard reporting elements for MVP line of business

Perform data validation and run reports in lower level environment

Perform data validation and run reports in QA environment

Ready future state reports for final production release "
