Position: IBM WebSphere Admin

Remote

 

Responsibilities:

Fine-tune and improve a variety of sophisticated software implementation projects Gather and analyze system requirements, document specifications, and develop software solutions to meet client needs and data Analyze and review enhancement requests and specifications Implement system software and customize to client requirements Prepare the detailed software specifications and test plans Code new programs to clients specifications and create test data for testing Modify existing programs to new standards and conduct unit testing of developed programs Create migration packages for system testing, user testing, and implementation Provide quality assurance reviews Perform post-implementation validation of software and resolve any bugs found during testing

 

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, required A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design large systems software design and development experience Experience performing in-depth troubleshooting and unit testing with both new and legacy production systems experience in programming and experience with problem diagnosis and resolution

 

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have seven or more years of experience with middleware administration in a large enterprise environment

 

• 10+ years IBM WebSphere Application Server,MQ, Automation tools like Ansible and Tomcat

• 5+ years experience of the full software development lifecycle

• Should have strong UNIX/Linux operating system administration experience,

• Should have experience working with Tomcat, Apache and other J2EE container technologies

• Experience with installation, configuration and administration of WebSphere Application Message Broker and Application Server mandatory

• Experience in deploying clustered, highly available middleware platforms

• Perform JBOSS EAP, MQ/WMB/WAS/ECM etc system administration, troubleshooting, monitoring, problem resolution, system security and change implementation

• The Middleware Administrator is responsible for deploying and supporting middleware applications using IBM WebSphere MQ and IBM's middleware / transformation products

• Provide system support including off shift on call support as and when required

• Experience with Datapower and IBM Appconnect highly preferred

• Provides support for enterprise programs and applications to include VMWare, RedHat Linux, CentOS Linux, Windows Server, Citrix, LDAP, Apache HTTP Server, Apache Tomcat, and various scripting languages including Perl, Python, Java, Bash, PowerShell, VB Script
