Job Title: MS Business Intelligence (BI) Architect

REMOTE JOB

Duration: Long Term 3 month extended contract

 

Client is looking for Business Intelligence Architect highly skilled in Microsoft platforms, frameworks, and BI tools and technologies. This role may require occasional travel to the client site in Southeastern US.

• The Business Intelligence Architect Consultant will be experienced as a Senior BI Analyst, Developer and Architect.
• Qualified candidates should have experience in consulting and demonstrated skills as a Business Intelligence Architect, helping to resolve real work business problems with technology.
• Candidates must have solid Data Warehouse BI Architect experience with Microsoft BI tools and technologies.
• Excellent communication skills are required.

 

The Business Intelligence Architect is required to have the following technical skills and exposure:

 

Database

• Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse.
• Experience in multiple versions of SQL Server, Oracle, SQL RDBMS platforms.
• Extensive development experience in SQL SSMS, Stored Procedures, Functions, Views.
• Performance tuning and optimization, indexing, and partitioning.

 

Data Warehouse

• Experience in designing Business Intelligence solutions, data marts and data warehouses using tools such as Star schema and Snowflake schema.
• Solid exposure to identifying various dimensions and facts to implement data warehouse architecture.
• Possess thorough understanding of data warehouse concepts, dimensional modelling and data warehouse components of operational data stores (ODS), data marts, and Staging and Production environments.

 

Microsoft BI Stack and Azure Cloud

• Experience Architecting systems using Microsoft BI toolset and development and deployment of SSIS, SSAS, SSRS.
• Experience in creation of workflows with tasks, containers and various transformations.
• Experience in creation of cubes and modifying measures and attributes, creating hierarchies and relationships among dimensions and facts, creation of calculated measures and members in calculations, KPIs, partitions and actions in SSAS.
• Experience in design and deployment of reporting solutions using SSRS, Power View and Power BI.
• Experience working with different components of the Azure Data Platform including Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Warehouse, Azure Data Lake Storage and Azure SQL Managed Instance.
• Expertise in data visualization using Power BI, Tableau, AWS QuickSight, Looker, QlikView etc.
• Experience in Multidimensional Expressions (MDX) and Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) query languages.

 

Qualified candidates must have the following skills and demonstrated client-facing project execution abilities and experience:

• Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and project management methodologies.
• Analytics and Reporting solution design.
• Design and implementation of architecture of on-premise and cloud components with involvement and comprehensive knowledge on staging, QA, UAT, Production life cycles.
• Experience in version control, bug tracking, and issue tracking tools.
• Possesses sound analysis skills, understanding of Business functions, data needs and data anomalies and exceptions.
• Possesses excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills who is a fast-learner and hardworking team player.
• Experience handling onshore clients.
• Experience working on complete data warehouse builds or maintenance with domain expertise.
