Position: SQL DBA

Location: Remote

Duration: 12 Months

 

Required Skills

At least 8+ years of SQL DBA and development work Azure Synapse SSIS

75% DBA Work 25% SQL Development Work

 

Positions Day to Day Responsibilities/Project Details (size, scale, scope)

·       This reports into operational technology innovation:

·       A lot more with drag line management systems and more with this operational data.

·       Development work on SQL to pull into Data Lake and Data Warehouse – Azure Data Lake

·       Brought ton of data in the past and have clean-up to do as well.

·       SQL DB – versions – varies North America and Canada and Brazil – some 2012.

·       Starting in US first with most update versions of SQL. 

·       Hybrid move to 2.0 to data lake and moving brings chance to clean-up and some abandon and rebuild.

·       20-25% to determine rebuild or lift to correct.

·       DBA – stored procedure/querying – 75%

·       Development – 25% - new data sets, a lot are already created and some trimming down.

·       Untangling the IOC specific dashboarding requirements – some breaking down and some new based on performance management piece.

·       SSIS

 

MUST HAVES:

1. At least 8+ years of SQL DBA and development work 
2. SSIS
3. Azure DL/DW 
4.  

NICE TO HAVES:

• Any SAP - pulling from different data sources in these platforms. 
• Mining or industry related experience
