Java L2 Support Engineer – Banking Application Support

Location:Alpharetta, GA – 5 days onsite (mandatory)

need independent consultants-need to work on our w2 .

• Overall IT Experience: 10+ years
• Java Experience: 8–10+ years
• L2 Application Support: 6+ years
• Domain: Banking / Financial Services

Required Skills

• Java / J2EE
• L2 Production Support
• Banking Application Support
• SQL & Database (Oracle / SQL Server / DB2 preferred)
• Incident & Problem Management
• SLA / Production Stability Management

SQL & Database Support

• Perform SQL queries for data validation, analysis, and issue investigation
• Identify and resolve data inconsistencies, performance issues, and batch failures
• Work with DB teams on database-related incidents and optimizations

Collaboration & Escalation

• Coordinate with L1 support teams for incident escalation and knowledge transfer
• Work closely with L3 / Development teams to resolve complex defects
• Communicate effectively with clients, business users, and internal stakeholders

Required Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in Java application support (L2)
• Solid understanding of banking domain concepts (payments, transactions, reconciliations, etc.)
• Proficiency in SQL and relational databases
• Excellent communication and coordination skills

Skills

• Experience supporting core banking or financial applications
• Exposure to batch processing, schedulers, and production monitoring tools
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux commands
• Prior onsite client-facing experience
