JOB DESCRIPTION:           

Seeking a Test Automation Engineer with strong Java expertise to enhance quality across our Spring Boot microservices ecosystem with a primary focus on API and contract testing This role emphasizes a developerfirst automationdriven approach ensuring scalable and reliable testing aligned with CICD pipelines The ideal candidate will possess solid experience in REST API testing contract validation and backend automation frameworks working closely with engineering teams to validate service behavior debug issues and build robust automated test suites

 

Experience in integration testing service virtualization and containerized test environments is essential with exposure to eventdriven systems performance testing and AIassisted testing considered a plus

 

Required Technical Skills

 

• Programming Strong Java proficiency Spring Boot  Spring ecosystem
• API Testing REST APIs HTTP fundamentals JSONXML validation contract testing
• Automation Frameworks  Tools REST Assured preferred Karate Postman Newman
• Testing Frameworks JUnit  TestNG Mockito WireMock
• Microservices Testing Integration testing service isolation Test  Containers Docker
• CICD  DevOps Git pipeline integration automationfirst design
• Observability Log analysis and debugging eg Splunk or similar tools

 

Key Objective: Drive high  quality scalable backend systems through code driven API automation and contract testing tightly aligned with modern Java engineering practices
