 Lead Java Full Stack Cloud Engineer

Location: Woodlawn, MD | Onsite 5 days/week - Need LOCALS

Interview: In-person interview required

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field
• 10+ years of experience with Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and React
• Hands-on experience as a Technical Lead
• Extensive Java/JEE design and development experience
• Strong experience with Angular, React, Express/Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML, AJAX, and jQuery
• Experience designing high-throughput and low-latency systems
• Strong experience with Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, microservices, and Single-Page Applications
• Experience developing responsive and Section 508-compliant web applications
• Experience with AWS, PostgreSQL, Red Hat OpenShift, and Docker
• Strong CI/CD experience with Jenkins, Git/Bitbucket, Jira, Nexus, Maven, SonarQube, Fortify, and UrbanCode Deploy
• Experience with Spring Batch, JSR 352, and Control-M
• Strong experience with REST/SOAP, XML, JSON, JAX-WS, AXIS, Jersey, CXF, OAuth2, and JWT
• Experience with DB2, PostgreSQL, JPA, Hibernate, Tomcat, and WebSphere
• Experience with JUnit, Mockito, PowerMock, TDD, BDD, Cucumber, and Gherkin
• Experience with application performance tuning and security vulnerabilities
• Strong architecture documentation and technical leadership experience
• Experience mentoring junior and mid-level developers

Preferred Experience:

• Kafka-based event-driven architectures
• Kafka producers, consumers, topics, partitions, consumer groups, Kafka Connect, and Kafka Streams
• AI technologies and applying AI to existing system architectures
• Section 508 standards
• Technical white papers and system design documents
• Federal or state government IT projects
• ServiceNow, Pega, or Microsoft Power Platform
