Position: Java Developer/Programmer
Location: Laurel, MD
Duration: 6 months

 

Description:

There is a new requirement for our clients to implement current WebSphere application to the latest version of WAS 8.5 and JDK 1.6 and above.  Based upon the Disaster Recovery Plan of the customer, the architecture must be changed in such a way that it supports high availability.  Additional resources are required for implementing and re-designing the existing application to the latest technology such as JSF 2.1, HTML 5, and Service oriented architecture (SOAP/REST).  The resource needs to have sound knowledge of application server Implementation, and should have knowledge and experience in implementing and re-theming existing applications to templates provided. 

 

The implementation of WebSphere 8.5 migration and the client web site re-design will include the following:

·         Migrate the existing J2EE/JSF 1.1 applications to J2EE JSF 2.1 Frame Work. 

·         Re-theme the migrated applications to HTML 5 templates provided by the clients web site.

·         Design and implement various data services using REST/SOAP. 

·         Architecture/design the existing applications in such a manner that it supports various applications servers such as Web Sphere 8.5.5 and above, JBOSS 7.1 and Web Logic.

·         Build Common Data Layer to Applications.

·         Work with IDMS/Legacy Team and communicate with various systems such as Customer Information Systems (CSIS ) and MMIS.

·         Design the common application security model which will work independent of application servers.

·         Implement and automate deployments through repository tools such as subversion.

·         Write Unit Test cases and work with QA Team and automate the testing.
