Role: SQL Database Administrator

Location: BEAVERTON, Oregon

Duration: 1 year

The DBA generally works under deadlines and should be capable of handling substantial workloads, operating with only general supervision. This position will involve all aspects of database administration including optimization, performance tuning, database monitoring, and partitioning. 

Required Qualifications: 

A four year degree in computer science, information technology, or equivalent experience. 

Six (6) or more years of experience as a SQL Server DBA in a production environment, including: 

Six (6) or more years of experience with SQL database backups and recovery strategies. 

Six (6) years of experience with SSIS and SSRS. 

Extensive experience in database logical/physical design, tuning and query optimization. 

Five (5) years of experience installing, patching, troubleshooting, monitoring, and tuning multiple SQL Server servers. 

Two (2) years of experience implementing database security. 

Two (2) years of experience with scripting language, preferably Powershell. 

Two (2) years of experience working with Change Management procedures. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Five (5) years of experience with horizontal table partitioning. 

Five (5) years of experience with SAN-based and VMWare SQL instances. 

Five (5) years of experience in performance tuning and capacity planning. 

Three (3) or more years of experience working as DB2.
