Job Description:

·         Candidates need to be fluent with Cognos 8/10 development, OLAP, some architecture, and Metadata. 

·         The Cognos BI Developer Senior/Architect is expected to have experience working with OLAP/Reporting/Query tools with multiple RDBMS environments on multiple platforms.

·         Persons in this role will support BI (OLAP/Reporting/Query) processes and tools.

 

Specifically, the person in this role must be able/have experience in supporting the following:

·         Cognos version 10.1 and 10.2 – all studios.

·         Dimensional Modeling.

·         Data Warehousing.

·         Business Intelligence (BI) practices.

·         Developing Framework Manager Models.

·         Working with Cognos Transformer and Cube technology.

·         Installation, configuration, and administration of tools.

·         Management and maintenance of tools’ software releases.

·         Metadata development.

·         Report development.

·         Supervising, guiding and mentoring junior team members.

·         Creating and maintaining data delivery standards to ensure consistent information delivery methods across projects.

·         Project management support.

·         SDLC processes.

·         Writing SQL.

·         Unit Testing.
