Location: Omaha, Ne

Duration: 4 Months

Job Description:

A. General Description:
a. This position is for an experienced Business Analyst. These individual will be working on the functional designs for the Reporting project. This project is part of the Finance System Modernization Program. This position requires Essbase / Smartview experience.

B. Detailed Description:
a. Requirements gathering to provide an understanding of the current and future state reporting process flows
b. Ability to identify reporting gaps
c. Identifies, develops, and evaluates alternative solutions to meet the business requirements
d. Preparation of functional designs to meet the needs of the business
e. Development of the reports dependent upon the skill of the contractor
Skills / Knowledge Required:

a. Strong analytical skills - attention to detail, problem solving, and decision making
b. 3+ years of experience with GAAP/Statutory Financial Reporting in Insurance industry is a plus 
c. 3+ years experience with Essbase reporting using Smartview / Excel Add in
d. Demonstrated use of Office tools (Word, Excel, and Visio)
e. Strong oral and written communication (communicated to people at various levels within the organization)
f. Strong interpersonal skills
g. Sense of urgency and ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
h. Quick learner
i. Creativity, diplomacy, sound judgment, and initiative is required
j. Ability to meet stringent deadlines
k. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
l. Experience with Business Objects Environment is a plus

C. Detailed Description of Delivered Materials:

a. Detailed requirements
b. Alternate solutions to solve a problem or design objective
c. Functional Design documents following the FSM Program Standard

Skills Required:

·         ESSBase

·         Business Analyst

·         Smartview(Excel Add-in)

Basic Requirement:

Must be a BA with Functional knowledge of (Oracle BI)Essbase reporting using Smartview / Excel Add in. Strong functional report designs working with business owners and customers. They are reinstalling Essbase.

Nice to have:
+ Insurance Exp
+ GAAP/Statutory Financial Reporting
