The SQL Database / ETL Developer is responsible for the development and maintenance of the database, extracts and ETLs.

Will also contribute in the design of new Data Warehouse Components/Data Mart. Each team member is responsible for the quality and maintenance of the all data integration processes. 

SUMMARY: 
This position reports to a Director Wealth Management Technology and supports the development and implementation of Wealth Management's technology roadmap. This role has a key responsibility within Client to ensure that our client experience within Wealth Management maintains the highest standards of the Bank. The developer works with architects, data analysts and business analysts to accept requirements, translates these requirements into solution design and code, and participates in the full development process life-cycle from concept through testing, implementation, and support using the Agile development methodology. This includes leveraging/improving established ETL framework, code reviews, status updates, identifying approaches to creatively solve data problems, POC, writing data quality checks, alerts, scheduling, reports, bug fixing and deployments. 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: 
Design and development of Data Warehouse/Data Mart 
DBA like review/setup of databases 
Complex SQL, stored proc development 
Design and develop ETL Data Loading packages 
Translate Business Requirements into technical solutions 
Provide Support of the Data Warehouse 
Adhere to ETL/Data Warehouse development Best Practices and Standards. 
Ability to identify and resolve any performance and/or data related issues 
Provide documentation (Data Mapping, Technical Specifications, Production Support, data dictionaries, test cases, etc.) for all projects 

Requirements 
KEY SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
 
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION: 
Bachelor's Computer Science 
5+ Years of in MS SQL Server Database Design/Development 
4+ Years of MS SSIS Experience 
3+ Years of Data Warehousing Experience 
3+ Years leading Data Warehouse projects 

TECHNICAL SKILLS: 
Deep (DBA like) SQL Server database knowledge 
Advanced Microsoft SQL Development (T-SQL) 
Advanced Microsoft SSIS Development (2005, 2008, 2012) 
Development with .NET technology stack (ASP.net, C#) 
Working knowledge of SSRS 
Experience implementing Enterprise Level Data Warehouses 
Understanding of Agile and its implementation for Data Warehouse Development 
Advance knowledge of ET/DQ concepts 
Ability to debug and performance tune 
Strong experience with Source Control (TFS, VSS, SVN, git etc.) 
Strong experience with SQL Server Management Studio 
Experience working with other ETL tools like Informatica is a HUGE plus 

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS/COMPETENCY: 
Capital Markets knowledge and experience is highly desired 
Understanding of traditional and alternative asset class investment data, including but not limited to equity, fixed income, private equity, real estate, derivatives, mutual funds, ETFs, global assets, foreign exchange, etc. 
Focus on development/ improvement of framework to support repeatable and scalable solutions
