Senior SQL Server Performance DBA/Developer

Duration: 6 months

We are looking for a senior level PERFORMANCE SQL DBA/Developer with heavy performance tuning experience within the database and various applications. This is not a day to day SQL DBA or Developer. Must have multiple years of experience with database architecture and performance tuning.

Primary Responsibilities

• Tuning and Optimization of Stored Procedures and use of Performance Monitor/Profiler to solve Dead Locks/Long running queries
• Responsible for reviewing, optimizing and deploying database scripts requested by Application Development Team.
• Analyze, identify and resolve database performance issues and bottlenecks.
• Tuning and Optimization of Stored Procedures and use of Performance Monitor/Profiler to solve Dead Locks/Long running queries
• Responsible for reviewing, optimizing and deploying database scripts requested by Application Development Team.
• Analyze, identify and resolve database performance issues and bottlenecks.
• Multidimensional Data Modeling (Logical and Physical Design of OLAP AND OLTP Databases), Normalization and building Referential Integrity Constraints

Secondary Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining SQL Server 2012, 2008, 2008R2 Environments.
• Creation and maintenance of Data Warehouse models, based on Kimball's Methodology.
• Creation and maintenance of Cubes using SSAS as the primary design tool.
• Creation of Tables, Views, Functions, Stored Procedures, Triggers and Cursors using Transact-SQL
• ETL designing, Data Mart and cube designing
• Using Data Quality Services, Master Data Services all the way to the end presentation layer.
• Handling database administrative tasks, database monitoring, database and applications access and security, diagnosing and resolving database problems

Job Requirements

8+ years of experience working as a production MS SQL Server Database Administrator using MS SQL Server 2012/2008/2005 in OLTP/OLAP Data warehousing environments.

• Expert in Extracting, Transforming and Loading(ETL) data using SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services)
• Proficient in Enterprise Data Warehouse, with Solution architecture experience including hands on designing of analytical layer.
• Analysis skills including MDX, OLAP, MOLAP and ROLAP
• Sound Relational and Dimensional modeling skills (star schema and/or snowflake schema)
• Developing and Extending OLAP Cubes, Dimensions and data source views
• Developing and deploying SSAS-Data Mining Model and processing SSAS objects is highly desirable
• Knowledge of SharePoint integration is a plus
• Familiarity with MDX to write simple as well as complex queries for creating calculations and aggregations to feed report data.
• Familiarity with .NET (preferable C#) and web based design skills in an ASP.NET, HTML, JavaScript/JQuery, MVC is desirable.
• Must have excellent analytical, interpersonal, problem solving/troubleshooting, communication and team skills
