Job Description:
Work directly with the project team as the user experience subject matter expert on producing a redesign and rewrite of a B2B Web Application. Define the information architecture, user interface design and behavior. Collaborate with the project development team to produce a best-in-class application.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Design simple, easy-to-use interfaces for B2B and B2C applications with rich and complex features.
Plan and conduct user requirements gathering, feature analysis, competitive research, conceptual modeling and usability testing.
Design and specify user interfaces and using iterative design techniques including interviews, usability testing, prototyping and story boarding.
Document and model user interface designs with wireframes, user interaction diagrams, low fidelity prototypes and high fidelity mock-ups.
Effectively communicate designs, design concepts and design rationale both verbally and visually.
Contribute and collaborate on cross functional teams that include product management, engineering and marketing.
Experience working in an agile environment is a plus.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
7+ years of experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, or similar role working with web-based applications.
Expert understanding of methods for designing easy to use interfaces in a variety of web-based and mobile formats.
Experience with design and prototyping/wireframing tools such as Balsamiq, Visio, HTML/CSS/JavaScript, Flash/Flex and Adobe Creative Suite.
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Ability to multi task and meet deadlines.
