Job Description:

 

This position will require a qualified Developers to take the lead in the following tasks:

Build database systems of high availability and quality depending on each end user's specialized role

Monitor the database environment to maximize database availability ensuring response time service levels are achieved.

Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses

Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards

Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrity

Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and upgrade to newer versions when required

Assist development staff, IT Support, various business units with debugging and assist in implementing database applications

Knowledge of Unix, Linux basic commands, crontab, sudo

Perform other duties as assigned and required

 

Required:

 

Proven working experience as a Database administrator

Hands-on experience with database standards and end user applications

Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity, and SQL, TSQL

Problem solving skills and ability to think algorithmically

 

Familiarity with database design, documentation and coding:

 

Familiarity with continuous integration

Strong hands-on Experience with the SQL server data pump, and Backup and Restore

Optimization of SQL queries and stored procedures

Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO)

Experience with windows scripting

Problem solving skills and ability to think algorithmically

High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server

Expertise in installation, setup, and configuration of SQL Server 2017 and up
