Position: Sr. DevOps /DevSecOps Evangelist
Location: 100% Remote (But Client Located in Santa Clara, CA or Tempe, AZ)
Duration: Long Term
Responsibilities Include:
· Establishing a federated responsibility model via a security champion program to empower and reward secure development and testing.
· Driving adoption of secure SDLC activities including threat modeling and behavior driven development (BDD) security testing.
· Helping development teams remediate vulnerabilities by developing solutions and implementing controls.
· Realizing the benefit of security feedback loops and tools embedded in CI/CD.
· Improving security tools and processes with an emphasis on self-service, automation, performance, and scalability.
· Teaching secure development best practices and leading hands-on workshops
Influencing the Application Security roadmap and backlog based on feedback from customers and other end-users.
· Collaborating with architects, engineers, and other security practitioners to share trends and insight.
· Architect DevSecOps/Agile Delivery Framework solutions for our clients by assembling leading DevSecOps practices for application and infrastructure services from development through to production to achieve business outcomes.
Required Skills/Experience:
· Strong knowledge of DevOps design patterns, processes and best practices.
· 15+ years overall experience covering Application development, Architecture, Quality Assurance and Production support.
· 5+ years industry experience in DevOps architecture related to Continuous.
· Integration/Delivery solutions & Platform Automation. DevOps Transformation Lead (AD+).
· 5+ years of application development, testing, and implementation experience in an agile environment.
· 5+ years of application security experience including architecture, design, testing, and education in an agile environment.
· Experience with continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) practices.
· Knowledge of regulations and standards including PCI-DSS, OWASP, and NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
· Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
· Ability to present complex concepts to senior management.
· Ability to translate and present complex technical data across technical and non-technical groups
Leadership Qualifications
· Successfully led teams through major project engagements that involves Agile & DevOps cultural changes in the client ecosystem.
· Proven leadership experience - leading, not just managing.
· Proven track history of taking complex delivery problems and creating leaner, more collaborative solutions.
· Demonstrates clarity of thought and expression to win confidence from clients and partners.
· This includes oral and written communication skills, including persuasion and negotiation.
· Has the intellectual capacity to understand and explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Educational Requirement:
Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, or related field; advanced degree preferred
