Job description:

As a Test Environment Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, setup, and management of test environments to support efficient and effective software testing processes. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring the availability and readiness of test environments, and implementing best practices for test environment management.

Around 10+ years of Proven experience in test environment management.

Collaborate with project teams to understand testing requirements and timelines.

Develop comprehensive test environment plans based on project needs.

Lead the setup and configuration of test environments, ensuring alignment with project specifications.

Collaborate with infrastructure teams to provision necessary hardware, software, and network resources.

Ensure that test environments are available and accessible according to the testing schedule.

Monitor and address any issues impacting environment availability.

Collaborate with Test Data Management teams to ensure the availability and integrity of test data.

Implement strategies for data refreshes and environment resets.

Integrate test environments into continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate environment setup and teardown processes.

Implement and maintain configuration management processes for test environments.

Track and manage changes to environment configurations.

Create and maintain documentation for test environment configurations, setups, and dependencies.

Provide documentation for troubleshooting and issue resolution.

Work closely with development teams to understand application architecture and dependencies.

Collaborate with testing teams to address environment-related challenges and requirements.

Monitor the health and performance of test environments.

Provide support and troubleshooting for environment-related issues.

Manage the allocation of resources (hardware, software licenses) for test environments.

Optimize resource usage to ensure cost-effectiveness.

Implement security measures to protect sensitive data within test environments.

Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and standards.

Develop processes for the decommissioning and cleanup of test environments.

Ensure the proper disposal of sensitive data after testing cycles.
