The Ohio Department of Aging (ODA)is looking for a skilled, experienced, and motivated Software, Data Integration Engineer to play a crucial role in enterprise-scale applications and technology platforms to share data securely, work seamlessly.

 

Complete Description:

 

All contractor roles at ODA are hybrid and require 2 days in the office (Downtown Columbus Ohio) each week. We ensure we have this question asked in every req. We will not interview any candidate that answer "no" to working 2 days on site per week. The Ohio Department of Aging (ODA) is looking for a skilled, experienced, and motivated Software and Data Integration Engineer to join the team. The candidate will support State projects, enterprise-scale applications and technology platforms that support the personnel who serve the aging community or the aging community at large. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that software systems and components work seamlessly together through participation in planning, coordinating, developing, and implementing integrations using secure and cost-effective strategies, and provide post deployment support to end users. 

 

Educational Requirements:

4 years college diploma or university degree in computer science or computer engineering, with advanced study preferred, or equivalent technical study.

Mandatory Skills and Hands-On Experience:

• 10+ years direct experience creating enterprise-level integrations across diverse technical environments and cross-platform technologies, both internal and external systems, ensuring data quality and privacy protection.

• 10 + years of experience designing and building web services and API protocols and schemas such as SOAP and REST, JSON, and data integrations.

• Direct, hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL and/or Oracle automated integration tools.

• Extensive knowledge of relational database design and management techniques, especially with Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle Database.

• 10 years of Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server experience.

• 10 years of .NET Web Forms.

• 10 years of MVC experience.

• 10 years of .NET Core experience.

• 10 years of Angular 5 and above, Bootstrap, jQuery experience.

• 3 years Azure DevOps experience.

• 10 years Python, C++ or Java, XML, EDI or OBI, Oracle or Microsoft SQL.

 

Desired Skills:

 

Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.

Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Good communication skills with both technical and non-technical clients

Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.

Strong experience in creating good solutions w/o mature, detailed, codified business requirements.

Working experience in delivering expected results in unstructured environments.

Works productively and effectively independently without significant management oversight.
