Rate: D.O.E, # of Positions: 1, Duration: 3 Months
Description:
* Overall 5 -10 years of experience of DB2 on AIX
* Installation of DB2 V8/9/10 on LUW on AIX
* Installation and Administration of HADR on various DB2 versions
* End-to-end Database administration in variousDB2 RDBMS versions on both Production and Non-Production systems
* Experience in Database Design preferred but not mandatory
* Experience in managing Very large Database
* Administer DB2 Databases in different logging modes
* Capacity planning
* Space Management at OS and Database level
* Proactive management of Archive logs
* Experience in Backup and Recovery including
* Designing backup policy
* Create and Maintain Backup and Recovery procedures and Test restores as required
* Performance tuning
* Instance level and Database level tuning
* Stored procedure creation and modification
* Query tuning preferable but not mandatory
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, system DBA's, managers, and subject matter experts.
* Experience in ITIL process (Incident/Problem/change/vendor management).
* Strong teamwork ethic and customer support focus.
Appropriate certifications for DB2 on LUW for V9/10 will be an added advantage
