Position: AVPN Engineer     

Location: Middletown, NJ

Duration: 12+Months

Job Description:- 

• Certify and plan the introduction of new IP/MPLS and Ethernet carrier grade network platforms and technologies to evolve AT&T's worldwide network infrastructure. Services supported include VPNs, Internet Services, cloud networking, Ethernet/VPLS, mobility, U-verse, security services and core network backbone capabilities.

1. Hands on experience with carrier grade routers and configuring them in a multivendor network (includes Cisco CRS/GSR/ASR900X, Juniper M/MX/T series, ALU 7xxx, Adtran, Ciena etc).
2. Hands on knowledge of IP Routing protocols and technologies: MPLS, OSPF, BGP, RSVP, QoS, Traffic Engineering/Fast Re-Route, Multicast, RFC 3107, TCP/IP Packet captures and analyzing the datagrams etc,.
3. Ethernet expert, able to analyze the LAN technology such as VLAN, HSRP.VRRP, IPSec tunneling etc.
4. Hands-on experience with lab environments and network equipments test sets such as IXIA, Spirent, etc.
5. Ability to independently lead Layer3/layer2 network troubleshooting and collaborate with network operations staff and vendors to conduct the Root-Cause Analysis.
6. Experienced with network hardware/software/firmware certification process.
7. Experienced at design of service provider or large scale IP/Ethernet networks, and able to work with systems engineering/design to plan and execute network/system feasibility and proof of concept tests.
8. Expereince in performance and scale testing of large carrier grade networks is highly desirable.
