Position: ArcGIS Analyst

Location: Houston, TX

Duration:Sub-Con & Full Time

Years of exp:Years of exp: 10 Years

Interview: Phone & Skype

 

Primary responsibilities could include, but are not limited to:

 

·         Install, configure and support ArcGIS Server and ArcGIS Image Server / Image Extension

·         Install, configure and support PetroWeb Gateway and Navigator

·         Deploy and support ArcGIS Desktop & Extensions

·         Deploy, configure and support web applications

·         Cartographic design & production

·         GIS data analysis & interpretation

·         Image Processing and Interpretation

·         Deploy and support mobile GIS solutions

·         Support integration with other technologies, such as GOCAD, Open Works, andEPOS

·         Define and translate end user requirements into workflows

·         Create/update documentation as required

Required Qualifications:

·         BS degree in GIS, Geography, Geomatics, Geoscience, Computer science, Earth Science, IT, engineering or related disciplines or equivalent experience

·         5+ years of GIS experience

·         2+ years ArcGIS Server installation and administration (version 10.0 and later)

·         Demonstrated experience with Windows Server 2008, IIS

·         Experience with ESRI tools, specifically ArcGIS desktop and server (plus extensions)

·         Experience with ArcSDE

·         Experience with Oracle Client and Microsoft SQL Server Native Client

·         Experience with spatial data loading and conversion

·         Knowledge of file-based data standards, conventions, & management processes

·         Strong written and verbal communication abilities

·         Oil and Gas industry experience

Preferred Qualifications:

·         MS degree in GIS, Geography, Geomatics, Geoscience, Computer science, Earth Science, IT, engineering or related disciplines

·         Experience installing and supporting PetroWeb Gateway and Navigator

·         Experience developing, updating and executing Disaster Recovery Plans

·         Experience creating, updating, supporting Python scripts

·         Experience creating, updating, supporting FME Desktop ETL to transform data and batch jobs

·         Geodesy awareness and experience

·         Remote sensing data acquisition, validation and maintenance

·         Experience working AutoCAD and/or Microstation

·         Knowledge of traditional and satellite based positioning

·         Understanding of Land and Hydrographic Surveying

·         Experience using hand-held GPS units and/or GPS-enabled cameras to capture location information

·         Demonstrated ability to perform technical business analysis and project management for GIS initiatives
