** PeopleSoft Functional Consultant - General Ledger, Commitment Control, and Asset Management

------------------------------------------------------------

 

A Minneapolis client is seeking a functional analyst for PeopleSoft General Ledger, Asset Management, and Commitment Control lead who will serve as the lead, subject matter expert for those application areas.    This resource will work with client resources to both execute their assigned duties and mentor (provide knowledge transfer) to client resources.   These duties and responsibilities will include the following.

* Lead system users through Fit/Gap and functional analysis focused on the new application features delivered between v9.0 and v9.2. Fit/Gap and functional analysis will also focus on application features the client is targeting for implementation, including General Ledger, Chart of Accounts, Asset Management, Interfacing with Budget Development application, currently running on IBM Cognos product.

* Work with client staff to configure and maintain configuration of General Ledger, Asset Management, and Commitment Control applications. Work with client staff to compose and update a Configuration Workbook.

* Work with client staff to develop and execute a data validation routine for the control and transactional data converted through the Upgrade pass process.

* Work with client staff to develop detailed test plan and scripts which will cover Integration Testing, System Testing, and User Acceptance Testing Phases.  Participate and lead the testing phases for the General Ledger, Asset Management, KK, and Budget applications.

* Work with client staff to compose Functional /Technical Specifications for any customizations that are determined to be required. These specifications will be expected to be complete functional designs bordering on the technical; they will have to be composed with adequate detail to ensure that they are actionable by the project's developers. There will be no additional Business System Analyst enhancements before being handed over to the developers. Project Developers will complete the Technical Specifications.

 

Expertise

The client will select a resource based on how well the proposed resource fits the below pointed qualification and how well they understand the above pointed responsibilities.  Experience level, depth of knowledge in qualification areas, and rate will also factor into the client's decision.

* Required.  Functional 70% / Technical 30% break down of knowledge and skills in the relevant applications areas of General Ledger and Commitment Control.

* Required.  Depth of knowledge and experience configuring, testing, and supporting PeopleSoft General Ledger, Asset Management,  and Commitment Control v9.1.

* Required. Minimum six years hand-on experience working with PeopleSoft General Ledger, Asset Management, and Commitment Control.  At least two full life cycles upgrading to PeopleSoft FSCM v9.1 with hands-on responsibilities for PeopleSoft General Ledger, Asset Management, and Commitment Control.

* Required.  Familiarity with PeopleTools Application Designer and basic PeopleTools knowledge.  No development experience expected, but an understanding of the primary records and technical processes that drive PeopleSoft General Ledger, Asset Management, and Commitment Control applications. Experience performing data loads via ExcelToCI.

* Required.  Experience leading Fit/Gap analysis for PeopleSoft General Ledger, Asset Management, and Commitment Control applications. Experience composing Functional Specifications for customizations determined to be required from Fit/Gap analysis.

* Required.  Familiarity and some level of exposure of PeopleSoft FSCM v9.2 covering PeopleSoft General Ledger, Asset Management, and Commitment Control applications.

* Required.  Excellent communication skills, great attention to detail, and strong organizational skills

* Required.  Experience and ability to work hand in hand with other members of the project team.  Willingness to share knowledge and mentor client resources.

* Preferred. Experience serving as PeopleSoft Functional Lead on at least one FSCM v9.2 Upgrade focusing on PeopleSoft General Ledger, Asset Management and Commitment Control applications.
