Candidates should have exp working on a mature platform. They will need to have significant experience working on tuning and performance improvement. Candidates will need to have production level load testing. They will also need to strong in J2EE and spring Framework end to end. Experience with offshore is a must. This person will be working with a company that client acquired out of Israel.

 

8/10 COMM SKILLS OR BETTER!

Performance Tuning experience very important

High transactional environment experience

Load testing exp

Offshore exp

END TO END SPRING experience very important

 

Description: Apply the principles of computer science and mathematical analysis to the design, development, testing, and evaluation of the software and systems that make computers work. Designs, develops and tests operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for medical, industrial, military, communications, aerospace, business, scientific and general computing applications.

Education/Experience
o Bachelors degree in computer science, software engineering or relevant field required
o 8-10 years experience required

Skills
* Required: Java, J2EE, Spring MVC, Spring, Design Patterns, Javascript/JQuery, HTML, Oracle, MySQL, JVM tuning
* Capable of working flexible hours with off-shore teams in a different time zone
* Capable of learning and working on a complex system quickly
* Strong knowledge of the full software development lifecycle: from business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, testing and delivery (Required)
* Strong ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issue

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:
o Review and approve the modification of existing databases and database management systems
o Instruct staff to write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system
o Direct database development and approve project scope and limitations
o Review project requests describing database user needs to estimate time and cost required to accomplish project
o Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard information in computer files against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification or disclosure
o Approve, schedule, plan and supervise the installation and testing of new products and improvements to computer systems
