Position : SAS GRID Admin

Location: Thousand Oaks, CA

Duration: Long Term

 

Job Description:

 

Migrate SAS GRID infrastructure, currently running Solaris 10, from Existing DataCenter to a new DataCenter.

 

The scope includes (but isn't limited to):

1.     Installing SAS GRID v9.4 and integrating it with existing v9.2 and v9.3 SAS GRID

3.     Migrating current SAS92/SAS93 environment to Solaris 11 or changing operating system to Linux (Redhat)

We will be looking for an SAS Admin to help us with implementation of the above items.

1.        As part of SAS 9.4 GRID Install on Solaris

a.       Review Architecture Design for 9.4

b.      Complete SAS Pre Install Questionnaire (PIRD)

c.       Install and Configure SAS 9.4 on DEV/TEST/PROD/DR environments

d.      Install and Configure SAS 9.4 Mid-tier

e.      Integrate SAS 9.4 with existing SAS GRID environment and use one LSF version to manage SAS versions 9.2, 9.3 and 9.4

f.        Create Documentation for the Installation process (Including but not limited to – IV Document, IQ Document, Update Design Specification, Create SAS Requirements Specification with SAS 9.4)

g.       Update SAS DR Plan with SAS 9.4

h.      resolving SAS Platform issues encountered during the SAS 9.4 installation

i.         Co-ordinate with SAS vendor for any issues related to installation/configuration.

j.        Provide technical expertise with regards to metadata and mid-tier clustering in 9.4 and how to implement them

k.       Manage Change Control

 

2.        As part of Data Center Migration for SAS GRID

 

a.       Perform Impact analysis of the Migration

b.      Participate in Migration planning and assessment meetings

c.       Work with UNIX teams to test the migration methods on a Sandbox server

d.      Create Documentation for the Migration process

e.      Upgrade the new v9.2, 9.3 and 9.4 GRID environment to Solaris 11 or Linux Redhat

f.        Assist with the Migration of SAS environment from old DataCenter to New DataCenter

g.       Make configuration changes to SAS files in order to make them work on new environment

h.      Update hostname and IP Address in SAS Config Files.

i.         Resolve SAS Platform issues encountered during migration

j.        Executing testing on the new environment and run SRTs

k.       Manage Change Control

l.         Assist in USER job migration
