We are looking for Senior Programmer with Microsoft technologies background and experience, including SQL Server and general data analysis, Classic ASP, and C# .NET knowledge, skills, and abilities.

 

Responsibilities:

 

The Senior Programmer will perform discovery, analysis, and documentation for all IT systems/applications leveraged in each licensing process, including:

• Analysis and documentation of business logic to calculate fees, licensure periods, renewal periods, etc.

• "Back office" functionality, e.g., data reporting, payment reconciliation, approval/denial processes, case management, system-type, etc.

• Data analysis of licensing and payments data to support deliverables

 

The Senior Programmer will also contribute to the development of deliverables and review and analyze change requests to determine the scope of work and estimate the level of effort for application changes in addition to writing detailed technical specifications for changing application components based on business requirements and high-level designs. The successful candidate will provide problem resolution support, specific to application issues; identifies and resolves problems in application software, coordinating with application users to determine symptoms and ensure accurate problem definition.

 

Required Experience/Qualifications:

 

• 8+ years of progressively complex experience and advanced-level skill in analysis, design and programming, 3 of which must have been in a technical lead position.

• 3+ years' experience filling a lead role as an application developer

• Advanced/ Expert level skill and knowledge in application design and development

 

Advanced/Expert skill and knowledge in data driven, web-based application technologies, including the following:

 

o Web-based thin client architecture

o Web site design and development

o Web development languages and techniques, including C#.NET, HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript o Database access methods, including SQL programming

 

Advanced/Expert skill and knowledge in the following software engineering areas:

 

o OOP (Object Oriented Programming) and Design Concepts

o Developing detailed design documents, such as use cases and data structure diagrams o All Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) activities, including, requirements, design, Coding, Unit Testing, Deployment, and Maintenance

o Software engineering concepts: e.g., encapsulation, information hiding, coupling, cohesion, modularity, and abstraction

o Advanced software development methodologies, tools and environments, such as Visual Studio 2010/.NET 4.0, Application Life Cycle Management/Quality Center for Defect Management, TFS and version control.

 

Advanced skill and knowledge and experience as a .NET Application Developer, as evidenced by at least 3+ years' experience and knowledge with at least 7 of the following .NET technologies:

 

o TFS 2010 including automated unit tests and builds

o Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) web services

o IIS 7.x.

o HTML5,

o JQuery

o Bootstrap

o CSS3

o RESTful Web Services.

o ASP.NET.

o Visual Studio 2010/.NET 4.0

 

Required Education/Certifications:

 

• Bachelor's Degree in relevant technical specialty, such as computer science, management information systems, computer engineering, software engineering OR

• Certification in software engineering disciplines, such as IEEE Certified Software Development Professional.

 

Desirable Qualifications:

 

• Experience with Microsoft technologies background and experience, including SQL Server and general data analysis, Classic ASP, and C# .NET knowledge, skills, and abilities. • Knowledge of applications maintenance technical processes, procedures, and quality standards.

 

All experience used must have occurred on an IT Project within the past ten (10) years.
