Job Title: Scrum Master Location: Denver, CO (NEED LOCAL ONLY) Duration: 6+ months contract GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB The Scrum Master II is responsible for facilitating team level agile processes and release train execution around requirements definition, scope, and delivery. The Scrum Master II must resolve team level impediments, manage risk, and drive continuous improvement throughout the delivery teams and lifecycle. The Scrum Master II has a working level understanding of agile scrum and kanban principles and practices, and understands the unique opportunities and challenges associated with organizing, facilitating, and continuously aligning the scrum team with the guiding business strategy. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES ESSENTIAL FUNCTION % OF TIME 1. Works with product management, product owners, and business owners to help assure execution alignment for scrum teams. 20% 2. Facilitates agile scrum team execution and feature completion tracking for 2 scrum teams. 20% 3. Arrange and facilitate daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, story grooming, and demo/retro. Ensure quick inspection and proper use of agile process. 20% 4. Work with multiple in-house and external Scrum teams enterprise-wide to remove impediments and manage dependencies. 15% 5. Helps manage risk and dependencies. 10% 6. Create, modify, publish and leverage standardized Agile Metrics to facilitate continuous improvement on the Scrum Team. 10% 7. Other duties as assigned. 5% Total Allocation of Time 100% SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, TRAINING, OR QUALIFICATIONS 3-5 years of experience as a scrum master Required 3-5 years of experience leading technical and non-technical teams in an agile environment Required Proven experience in managing multiple scrum teams. Required Effective manager, collaborator and servant leader. Required Strong interpersonal and communication skills Required Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or appropriate combination of education and experience in essential duties and responsibilities. Required Advanced computer skills and proficiency in MS Office Suite. Required Experience working with JIRA and Confluence.
