Role: SQL Server DBA

Location: Columbia SC/Reston, VA

Duration: 12 Months

 

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

•         Minimum 5 years of DBA experience

•         1 - 2 years of hands-on experience in AWS RDS (RDS and data migration services)

•         Experience on Amazon services like Stacks, Service Catalog, Cloudwatch, GLUE, S3.

•         Strong Postgres/SQL Server DB administration experience in production environments

•         Configuration and support of complex RDS Databases in AWS environment, Configuring and managing high availability, resiliency solutions leveraging Aurora Read replicas & Global Database

•         Experience of managing and upgrading multiple RDS, database versions on large systems

•         Knowledge of reporting and query tools and practices along with practical experience in monitoring

•         Experience in using Performance Insights, Performance Turning , RDS KPI design and management

•         Working knowledge of DevOps support model

•         Working knowledge of Lambda, Python

•         Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
