ROLE: Senior ServiceNow Developer
LOCATION: Pierre, SD or Remote
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior ServiceNow Developers will assist in coordinating the activities and work of other resources, both internal and external, and assist with the development and implementation of ServiceNow for the Bureau of Information and Telecommunication Development Division and other cross-functional teams.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
- Assist ServiceNow Administrators with upgrade planning, testing, and implementation between development and production instances
- Assist with design, support, & implementation of ServiceNow CSM applications, forms and digital workflows, and future functionality of ServiceNow as needed
- Assist with user acceptance testing
- Attend, participate, and occasionally lead Scrum meetings
- Configure application related fields, forms, views, email notifications, acceptance roles and access controls
- Configure out-of-the-box workflows and create/maintain custom workflows
- Contribute to the continual improvement of Delivery Services processes as well as the maturing of the different portfolios, capabilities, expertise, and best practices in consideration of customer needs and requirements
- Design and develop solutions for Service Catalog Items, general features, and enhancements using 3rd party applications and API's
- Develop custom ServiceNow applications using modern web technologies
- Ensure Project Lead/BIT Development Management receives timely updates on assigned tasks to facilitate frequent and proactive customer communication
- Integrate ServiceNow application(s) with third party systems/applications via APIs
- Perform audits to ensure compliance requirements are met & remediation actions are taken as needed
- Provide mentorship and guidance to other, less experienced, members of the team
- Work with BIT Development Managers and/or project teams on planning and testing of new functionality or improvement of existing CSM applications, forms and/or digital workflows
- Work with ServiceNow vendors and BIT Development Staff on projects and ongoing support

The successful candidate should have the following knowledge and experience to be considered for this senior-level position:
- 2+ years of experience with development of ServiceNow Workflows, client and server-side scripting
- 2+ years of experience with experience in programming languages such as JavaScript, HTML, JSON, SOAP, REST, etc.
- 2+ years of experience with ServiceNow design, development, testing, and deployment, and configuration experience (preferably in CSM), with a strong understanding of ServiceNow architecture, capabilities and key modules
- 2+ years of experience with the methodologies, processes and implementation for ServiceNow CSM and App Studio
- Ability to identify opportunities for improving process quality and efficiency and to participate in process improvement initiatives
- Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment/Delivery
- Experience creating applications, request forms, developing integration with external systems, implementing security (including Access Control Lists), and enhancing the user interface to provide a custom look and feel
- Experience integrating ServiceNow with external systems through SOAP or REST web services
- Experience with HTML5, jQuery, CSS, Angular.js
- Experience with managing multiple projects and establishing best practices
- Experience with the ServiceNow Studio IDE, Flow Designer and Automated Test Framework
- Hands-on technical delivery including ServiceNow solutions, ability to create and modify workflows using traditional workflow and flow designer.
- Innovative, creative thinker with the ability to envision ways of doing things more effectively.
- Proven experience working with the ServiceNow Platform as a key technical resource leading the development/configuration of ServiceNow solutions in client environments
