Database and Reporting Analyst/Developer

Boston, MA (Hybrid role from day 1)

6+ Months

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze and document current reporting applications, databases, queries, and batch jobs
Create requirements and design specifications to migrate reporting applications to
Postgress/Snowflake in an AWS environment
Develop and/or help with development of new reporting applications
Collaborate with program management office to prioritize and execute tasks associated with the reporting applications development
Provide post production support after go live
Ability to work in a high-pressure environment

 

Required Skills/Experience:

7+ years of experience in analyzing, developing and deploying database and reporting
applications
Strong hands on SQL, PL/SQL and ETL experience using Oracle database in a Unix/Linux
environment
Experience in creating batch jobs using Autosys or Quartz and shell scripting
Experience developing reports using BI Reporting tool such as MicroStrategy, FactSet Vermillion
Exposure to AWS environment with knowledge of S3, AWS Batch/Step functions, Lambda, Glue and Postgress
Snowflake experience is a big plus
Knowledge of Composite tool is a plus
Practitioner of modern engineering practices such as source code control and CI/CD
A quick learner with the ability to handle analysis, design and development tasks with minimum supervision.
Strong communication skills
Financial Services industry experience is a plus.

Education Requirement:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a technical major.
