Location: 100% remote

 

• QA Evangelical.
• Work with the enterprise QA team to implement best practices
• Create Testing Strategies and Test Plans for new initiatives and ongoing support as part of our Backlog Management Team
• Guide the BA team on new initiatives and ongoing support to complete test plans, and create and review test cases built by the BA team.
o Someone who can work with the BA/Dev team to develop good practices in test case management.
• Identify areas for improvement in Regression and functional Testing
• Understand and provide to management on QA Metrics
• Act as an auditor on completion of Internal Testing, UAT testing and completion of Non-functional requirements.
• Act as test lead for all initiatives:
o Act as the final approver for all deployments
o Review and confirm changes after deployments
• Will not be primarily responsible for executing testing, but will be responsible for ensuring that the overall Quality processes are developed

At Regions, the Quality Assurance Testing Analyst supports the application development organization by independently conducting highly complex software testing activities with significant impact aimed to improve the functionality of applications systems across the organization. This position may serve as a lead for a small team, contributing to technical skill and knowledge development.

Primary Responsibilities
Leads the creation of comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test case scenarios for new and existing products
Independently performs manual testing of applications and translates results into actions in collaboration with management
Analyzes test data to determine pain points and recommend improvements or modifications to better meet customer needs
Maintains documentation for testing activities and cases, ensuring team compliance to internal policies and procedures
Collaborates with teams to identify process improvement strategies and develop effective testing solutions
Creates and maintains quality metrics
Collaborates with peers to create parameters and comparison data for improved accuracy
Independently performs post-production validation
Assists with coordinating non-functional testing activities, including performance testing, concert testing, and pen testing
Remains abreast of trends in testing tools and strategies
Leads complex testing projects as a subject matter expert
Relies on experience and judgement to perform job duties without supervision or direction
Collaborates with management in determining technical knowledge pain points and developing training plans
Offers advice and guidance to junior analysts, assisting in developing business/technical knowledge, analytical skills, and case management skills

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Requirements
High School Diploma or GED and ten (10) years of quality experience
Or Bachelor's degree in related field and six (6) years of quality experience

Preferences
Working knowledge of Regions' testing standards
Advanced knowledge of software implementation methodologies
Advanced knowledge of test case design and strategy
Advanced knowledge of test management tools such as Azure DevOps, qTest, or Application Lifecycle Management (ALM)
