Job Description

Core Responsibilities:

Design and develop data pipelines and workflows within Palantir Foundry

Worked on AIP capabilities, and platform enhancements

 The Data Scientist shall provide solutions (including AI/ML) in support of Project Delta within the Innovation Accelerator. Work will be executed in rapid, iterative sprints and will focus on assessing the feasibility, value, and performance of analytical and machine-learning concepts.

•  The Data Scientist shall translate ambiguous problem statements into structured hypotheses; evaluate data availability and quality; design and execute analytical experiments; develop lightweight data pipelines; and construct prototype models that support early-stage validation.
•  The Data Scientist shall deliver clear documentation, insights, and recommendations that guide pivot/proceed/sunset decisions within each sprint cycle. Collaboration with engineering, product, and subject matter experts is required, with emphasis on rapid learning, methodological rigor, and the ability to produce directionally accurate findings that accelerate Project Delta's decision making.

Required Skills and Knowledge

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Python and core data science libraries
• Knowledge of Foundry and related applications
• Experience designing end-to-end analytical workflows: data ingestion, cleaning, feature engineering, modeling, and evaluation.
• Ability to build lightweight prototypes suitable for rapid experimentation and iterative sprints.
• Strong understanding of statistical methods, experiment design, sampling techniques, hypothesis testing, and model evaluation.
• Experience working with messy, sparse, or partially structured datasets, and performing exploratory analysis to assess feasibility.
• Ability to create clear, well annotated notebooks and scripts for reproducibility and handoff.

 

Data & Infrastructure Skills
Familiarity with SQL and data querying across enterprise systems.

• Ability to assess data quality, lineage, and data readiness for modeling.
• Comfort working with cloud-based analytical environments or enterprise data platforms.
