Position: MS SQL Server Developer
Location: Saint Louis Park, MN
Duration: 3 months contract with possibility of extension up to 18 months
Must have prior Wells Fargo experience
Locals only In-person Interview
Job Description:
Applies data analysis methodologies to assess risk management and controls in the Group. Specific responsibilities include:
· Developing an understanding of business processes, data flows and application architectures for assigned business areas in the Group
· Identifying opportunities to utilize data analysis in the assessment of risk and controls
· Working with technology partners to identify data stores relevant to key business processes
· Navigating within technology environments to locate, validate, extract, and format data for data analysis testing
· Designing, documenting and developing data stores of moderate complexity
· Effectively document the analysis performed in accordance with risk compliance policy
· Developing reports at the direction of management to support analysis of control effectiveness and trends in inherent and residual risk In addition to items in the above job description
· Experience developing data queries of moderate complexity using Microsoft TSQL
· Experience identifying and extracting data from mainframe and distributed technology environments with little supervision
· Ability to develop an understanding of business processes and business data
· Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, management information system or computer science
· Experience in developing analytic reports using Excel pivot tables
· Demonstrated capability to automate processes
· Understanding of business processes and business drivers relevant to Wholesale Banking
· Solid financial service industry business knowledge
· Team player, ability to collaborate effectively to accomplish business goals
· Understanding of organization and risk management strategies

· Working with senior management to get requirements
· Gathering data from various data sources
· Designing and populating a SQL Server database
· Ad hoc reporting and data analysis
· Documenting and presenting the analysis performed
· Specific technologies in play here include Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 and Excel 2010
