Position: Business Intelligence Business Analyst

Location: Dallas, TX

Duration: 7 months +

Start: ASAP

Interview: Phone & Face-to-Face

Rate: $50.00/hr (Max $55.00/hr) all inclusive on CTC

 

NOTE: Locals Preferred. Client will prefer candidates that can interview face to face after a successful phone interview.

 

Business Intelligence Business Analyst (MicroStrategy)

·         Primary function is related to report and dashboard analysis.

·         The Business Intelligence (BI) Business Analyst (BA) will work with the Reporting and Data Warehouse teams to analyze existing report changes and requests for new reports and dashboards.

·         They will work with end users to build the proper business requirements, coordinate with the data warehouse and reporting teams to determine feasibility and level of effort, work with the Project Manager to develop appropriate timelines, and then help shepherd the work through all phases of the system development life cycle.

·         A bachelor's degree in a related area and 4-6 years of experience in the field is desired.

·         The BI BA will report to a BI Manager.

·         The position will be located at the headquarters in Dallas, TX.

·         This is not a telecommute position.

 

Required Previous Experience:

·         Reporting experience – must have been a BA in a reporting environment, 2-4 years of experience

·         Working with end-users through the requirement definition, status meetings, and end user testing cycles.

·         Some knowledge of SQL – no coding required but exposure to SQL is required

·         Exposure to testing reports

·         Detailed oriented and data minded.

 

Preferred, but not required experience:

·         Experience with MicroStrategy Business Intelligence Suite

·         Experience with Executive Dashboards, specifically with the development of business requirements and/or design of those dashboards.

·         Previous project management/project coordinator experience

 

Knowledge of:

·         Oracle Pro C

·         Oracle RDBMS

·         Oracle SQL*Plus

·         SQL
