We are working on RIM (Remote Infrastructure Management) technology.
-
System Administrator and handling 4500+ Servers in Windows 2000/2003/2008 Multi master Domain environment for offshore client Johnson & Johnson.
Installation, Configuration and troubleshooting of Windows Servers/MS Cluster servers (Physical and Virtual).
Servers Decommissioning for both Physical and Virtual Servers.
RAID 0, 1, 5 Implementation, Disk expansion on physical & Virtual servers

Installation/up gradation of Latest Windows Security Updates, Service packs PSP and firmware on all Servers remotely.
Configuring ILO/RILO in all HP servers.
Taking care for any hardware issues like RAM, Hard disk fault working with HP following up etc.
Working on auto generated monitoring alerts of various internal hardware and Application problems through SIM (System Insight Manager), SCOM.
Taking care of Regular Operations activities including VMware, Windows OS, Hardware and other Microsoft application. Trouble shooting any OS related issue (IIS, slow performance etc), taking support and working with Microsoft if issue is critical and quick resolution needed.
Creating array and modifying expanding disk space as per customer requirement.

Creating new Virtual server or modifying it resources setting as per requirement.

Working on reboot management /Patch management.
Working with SAN addition/modification updating drives etc.
Working with DFS and file print servers, responsible to create bulk print queues update printer drivers trouble shooting etc.
Working on Incident management ( ITSM ticket created by SCOM and HP OVO tool)

Taking care of change control implementation and execution process.
Working on problem management.
Work on Internal/ external escalation matrix for customers/ vendors for Incident Management
Root cause analysis process for Problems leading to strategic resolution Work on ITIL Change Management, Problem Management and Incident Management.

Moving the physical server from one location to another
Handling Bridge call on planned power outages of various sites by following Change management.
Responsible for Server Uptime, Usage Statistics, Performance tuning and report generation.

Vendor co-ordination and placing order for new hardware/replacement
RCA(Root cause analysis) for unexpected reboots
