Database Administrator 4 (DBA4) - 7 plus years relevant experience (This position is a recompete of requisition 643486 at the request of the manager. No duplicates)

 

Complete Description:

 

The Commonwealth of PA is looking for an IBM Mainframe Database Administrator to provide database administration support for the Commonwealth's Unemployment Compensation Mainframe and Insurance Department Mainframe. An important aspect of this work includes advising the CTO on all activities involving enterprise mainframe operations and services. These responsibilities are inclusive of the planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of information technology systems. Work is performed independently under the general direction of the EBR CTO.

 

Required Skills:

 

•        IBM IMS Database version 14.1/15.1 or above

•        IBM DB2 Database version V11/V12 or above

•        IBM DB2 Administration Tools

•        IBM IMS Solution and Recovery Packs

•        Writing and maintaining JCL version V2R2/V2R3

•        Management and implementation of backup and recovery strategies for DB2 and IMS databases

•        IMS DBRC

 

Preferred Experience:

 

•        Experience with Unemployment Compensation Systems

•        Certifications in IBM DB2 for z/OS

 

Required / Desired Skills:

 

Experience administering IBM IMS Database version 14.1/15.1 or above

Experience administering IBM DB2 Database version V11/V12 or above

Experience supporting application system development life cycle

Experience with IBM DB2 Administration Tools

Experience with IBM IMS Solution and Recovery Packs

Experience writing and maintaining JCL version V2R2/V2R3

Experience managing and implementing backup and recovery strategies for DB2 and IMS databases

Experience working with IMS DBRC

Experience with Unemployment Compensation Systems

Certifications in IBM DB2 for z/OS
