§ Work with new technology, focus on using the right tool for the job, rather than any sticky preference for a tool or technology
§ Learn and share knowledge across our engineering teams, so we can continue to iterate and improve
§ Write reusable, testable, and efficient code
§ Creates and manages schemas and instances for SQL and non-SQL databases
§ Design and implement of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications
§ Write data pipelines that access multiple systems to retrieve, validate, process, and store data
§ Integrate user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server side logic
§ Work on implementation of security and data protection projects
§ Collaborate and work on integration of data storage solutions
§ Focus on performance tuning, improvement, balancing, usability and automation
What You'll Bring with You:
8+ years exp (PC level, or high SC)
Inspires their teammates to perform at their best while building a collaborative, supportive team culture
Effectively manages responsibilities for architecture and design decisions, hands-on implementation, team organization and technical mentorship
Engineers best-in-class model-driven search infrastructure at scale (we use Elastic)
Solves problems with containers, cloud infrastructure and infrastructure as code (we use Docker, AWS and Terraform)
Prides themselves on writing highly readable, thoroughly tested code (we use Python)

§ Must have Optimized Spark code and cluster configuration is second nature

§ Taking pride on writing highly readable, thoroughly tested code using PySpark
§ Must have an inquisitive mind and find how things are done
§ Use evidence to convince people to try different approaches
§ Must be using Reflexively test and measure results based on it
§ Should be driven to unlock the potential of data to positively impact the real world
