Job Title: Business Analyst with Microsoft Power BI

Project Duration: 12 months

Location:  NYC

 

Job Description:

Determines operational objectives by studying business functions, gathering information, evaluating data input/output requirements and formats.

• Designs new applications, integrations, and reports by analyzing requirements, constructing workflow charts and diagrams, studying system capabilities, and writing specifications.

• Improves systems by studying current practices, designing modifications.

• Recommends controls by identifying problems, writing improved procedures.

• Monitors project progress by tracking activity, resolving problems, publishing progress reports, recommending actions.

• Prepares technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

 

Mandatory Skills:

·       Must have a Bachelor's degree in IT related field.

·       Must have a minimum 7-9 years of Information Technology experience .

·       A solid foundation in IT, including the systems analysis, design, and development.

·       High level of experience with a variety of database technologies including Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle as well as the ability to compose advanced SQL queries, scripts, functions, etc. within these systems to extract and manipulate data.

·       Highly proficient with the setup, use, and support of Microsoft Power BI Desktop, Microsoft Power BI Service, Microsoft Power BI Gateway, Microsoft Power BI Reports, and Microsoft Excel.

·       Programming experience surrounding the creation and consumption of end points for use in migrating and manipulating data as

·       Application Integration experience.

·       Extensive knowledge using Office 365 and the Microsoft Office Suite including Teams, Project, PowerPoint & Visio.

·       Ability to make decisions and provide solutions by inquiring, listening and evaluating data.  

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills is a must.
