POSITION

Role : Lead Java Spring Boot Developer

Phoenix, AZ (3 days onsite)

12+ months contract

Qualifications:

10+ years of Backend Services / API Development, skilled in programming server-side JavaScript/TypeScript running on using Java Spring Boot.

Must demonstrate strong Java/TypeScript/JavaScript skills, with hands-on experience on Spring Boot/Express.JS, Webpack, and OAuth.

Experience in cross-platform development with a strong knowledge of Node.js/Spring Boot.

Knowledge and Expertise with the migration from SOAP APIs to REST APIs is preferred.

Knowledge/Experience in the development of APIs using IIB (IBM Integration Bus) is preferred.

Knowledge of Microservices and respective architecture design principles and scalability best practices

Understand the entire development lifecycle including deployment in Kubernetes/OpenShift in AWS Cloud Environment.

Experience with Open-Source work management tools JIRA, Jenkins, and GitHub

Ability to work in an Agile / SCRUM environment

Self-directed with a Start-up/Entrepreneur mindset

Knowledge of Banking, Finance and Insurance (BFSI) domain.

Responsibilities:

Design APIs, develop shippable code, documentation, and unit test new features for digital products

Design, develop, and implement ongoing enhancements of digital products to enhance the digital experience

Understand the existing code that was written for the development of previous APIs using IIB and take up the ownership of designing the Architecture using Java Spring Boot or NodeJS depending on the application

Mentor and guide the Junior Engineers in the team in the right direction.

Have strong communication and leadership skills. Need to be able to discuss the requirements and the development progress with the client periodically.

Have a strong and continuously evolving technical mastery of RESTful API development focused on Node.js/Java Spring Boot

Hands-on programming, participating in design sessions, code reviews, and system testing during various phases of development, following best industry practices, and publishing API documentation

Work with fellow API Developers, Team Leads, and Architects to deliver features through the creation of re-usable RESTful APIs

Collaborate with Quality, Product, and Cloud Engineering teams to keep digital assets fully functional, secure, and up-to-date with business needs.
