Guidewire Developer
Duration: 6 Months w extension
Work Location: Chevy Chase, MD
Position Comments: A mid level Guidewire Developer is required for IBU Claims specifically to work on AD rewrite.
Specializes in Guidewire - Has experience in the development, maintenance, and testing of software programs. Responsibilities include Coding, testing, and debugging application programs from functional specifications. These individuals will work from program specifications or prototypes * Works under the direction of a team leader, senior technical person or analyst. (3-5 years).

Areas of Expertise Testing Yes 4 - 6 Years
Areas of Expertise Testing and Development Yes 4 - 6 Years
Software Skills Java Yes 4 - 6 Years
Software Skills Java Script Yes 4 - 6 Years
Software Skills .Net Framework No 4 - 6 Years
Software Skills UML No 4 - 6 Years
Software Skills Unified Modeling Language (UML) - Intermediate No 4 - 6 Years
Technical Skills Ability to write technical documents and end-user documentation Yes 4 - 6 Years
Technical Skills Code documentation and processing Yes 4 - 6 Years
Technical Skills Software Development Yes 4 - 6 Years
Additional Skills:
- At least 5 years of experience in large scale Java or .Net system development
- Experience with Guidewire configuration or integration components is desirable
- Design, write, unit test, and document application code to successfully complete project-based work
- Strong testing and debugging skills a must
- Familiar with UML and other OO tools and a working knowledge of the tools
- Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent detail-orientation and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize assignments
- Degree in a related field
