Location: Detroit, MI

Experience Required: 5+ years

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

•Infosphere Information Server 8.7 GRID Platform Administrator • At least 5 Years of experience in administering Datastage and InfoSphere platform on an UNIX environment. • Perform Administrative activities such as Project/User creation, roles management, import and export projects, Db configuration setup, dataset management, BG/MWB/IA artifacts, SAP-PACK, WISD, and QualityStage component • Monitor the platform and respond immediately to component failures and ensure 24/7 system availability; Work with other administrators to resolve any open issues • Work with Vendor to co-ordinate  patch installations, upgrades, and support packages such as SAP BW/R3 and CASS package • Co-ordinate backup and restore activities for the platform • Troubleshoot development issues and provide constructive solution • Contribute to IIS Standards, policies and procedures • Knowledge in real-time stages such as MQ, XML, JAVA, WEB components • Knowledge in managing Business Glossary, Metadata Workbench, Information Analyzer, and FastTrack and help data stewards manage the business glossary content 1. Troubleshoot issues with Business Glossary and resolve 2. Troubleshoot issues with metadata Workbench and resolve 3. Trouble shoot issues with Information analyzer – Determine the datastage job execution and resolve • Knowledge in WebSphere App Server to support the platform • Knowledge in GRID configuration • Strong UNIX scripting knowledge • Strong communication skills • Knowledge in Platform_LSF (Resource Manager), and CITRIX
